Ro Bastacky and her husband have been raising Chesapeake Bay Retrievers since 1991.
But when they met Harry in 2011, they knew something was special about him. “He
had so much drive… we knew he was the right one for us.” They soon discovered
that Harry had a passion for diving. “He just wanted to jump into the water and
splash,” she says. However, within a few days, they also discovered he had diarrhea.
After veterinary visits, lab tests and medication, Harry would show some improvement,
but his stools remained soft and eventually the diarrhea returned. That’s when Roberta
asked her veterinarian about trying FortiFlora. She started feeding Harry FortiFlora
daily with his food. “I just sprinkle it on; it doesn’t get any easier than that.”
Within two weeks, Harry’s stools improved and he is now full of energy and “thriving.”
And how does he feel about FortiFlora? “He loves it, loves it, loves it,” she says,
adding that he licks his bowl clean. In addition to his high drive, his career is
also soaring. He has competed in multiple events, earning 10 first place ribbons
in Dock Diving as well as the title of Master Jumper.
